BE WELCOME TO VISIT OUR COCKERS

The dogs illustrated are typical of this kennel and bred for temperament as much as for confirmation and movement.

But: without this wonderful character, neither one of these bitches would have made my kennel the success it was and is at the present time. (Remember: the strength of a kennel lies in its bitches.)

I am proud at what I have achieved in the past. To make up five champions  - it was possible after many years of work and great ambition.........

We remember our "big five" - five excellent golden bitches.

1999 we sadly lost "Beesly" (center): She gave us so much pleasure we can never thank her enough!

She left behind daughters like Minnie and Filly, grand-daughters like Racker and Queenie or Alice (bred and owned by Gerdina Hyzyk), all of whom have her generous loving nature. Beesly was outstanding and I enjoyed showing her in the Veteran classes. At 8 years she won a competition under J. Gill-Davis and later she was placed in the German Bundessieger Show´s veteran class.

German Champion (VDH) German Champion (Club) German Youth Champion, German Veteran Champion (Club) "Minnie" (1992 - 2004): Our thanks to Gerdina. She has been showing Minnie more than 100 times with great success and both are still going on. A large number of tickets and several BIS and Res.BIS were collected. Minnie was "Best Veteran in Show" (Erfurt) and Res. Best Veteran in Show" (German Bundessieger, Dortmund).

German Youth Champion "Filly" (1993 - 2005): So like her mother! She has had a superb career - only one CAC away from being German Champion - until I had to stop showing her due to my "three M´s" : MOVING, MARRYING and MATERNAL DUTIES. Filly is the mother of "Ida".

Sgr.Anw. "Micky" (1992 - 2006): Micky enjoyed the times out in the ring but much more spending her time in the fields. Nevertheless she got her tickets and wins. She is mother of "Pascha" (Austria) a trialer, "Racker" and "Queenie", both excellent gun dogs and companions.

"Ginger" (1995 - 2002): is also missed after her sudden death. "Not always the easiest dog to show" wrote a judge - but she had top awards including "excellent 4" as youngster at the European Winner Show, Dortmund.

"Queenie" (1996 - 2005): had a late start to her show career. She made her debut with 4 years under A. Wood. She was very short and had inherited the classic head of her mother.

"Racker" (1996 - 2008) : unshown until June 2003 - all the years she was busy with hunting. No time at all for something unimportant like dog shows.....  But in 2003 we have entered a show near Berlin. Racker got a third place (and her "breeding permission") in a strong competition - we are satisfied. Unfortunately Racker hasn´t had a litter.

"Ida": is waiting in the wings to keep the Cocker Academy´s flag flying - but she is so much like her dear auntie "Ginger". Maybe she is not the easiest dog to show, too. Ida loves agility and has no time for dog shows.

"Grassland Ghost": After we have lost Queenie and Filly in 2005, we need "something" to cheer us up. Our dream to get puppies from Queenie or Racker didn´t become true. So we bought "Ghost". In only 5 years he added the next eight (!) champion titles (Portuguisian Champion, Champion of Luxembourg, German Champion, CIB, Ch. I. Exposition, Czech Ch., Austrian Ch. and Austrian Club Champion) Ghost is half-way Belgium, Spanish and French Champion.  He qualified for Cruft´s for lifetime.

Ghost was 3 x "BIS" working dog (Leuven 2008, 2009, 2010)

His hips are clear and he has winning offspring in more than 6 countries.

In 2009 we continued breeding with Ida and Iron Man, a Ghost son. This litter gave us three very promising puppies: Jill, Jack and Jim.

The three "puppies" are doing well at shows, so they won "Best Breeding Team" in Leuven 2009, first places and several times "Best Cocker Puppy" and "Best Puppy in Show".

Ghost  is confidently offered at stud to approved bitches of breeders who think it´s time for "sable-free" blood lines, while keeping the essential link with several "old" English lines of the past, which appear on their pedigrees like Helenwood, Misbourne, Broomleaf and so on.

Meanwhile Jack and Jim are offered at stud, too.

By the way: We would like to thank all judges who have thought so highly of them.
